Anyone on Verizon get firmware update

I haven't seen anything yet, but my BT only has also not been updated, so I don't think it's a Verizon issue at this point. I've seen server connection problem messages, so staging the upgrade by region makes sense to help prevent server overload.

Well I at least got the Gear manager update, just waiting on the firmware for the watch now.My uneducated guess is they are rolling it out in stages and we'll all receive it in time. It's just how much time that annoys me lol

I got the Gear Manager update about 2 to 3 days before the firmware update. I'm now on version PF6.

Why? They've done pretty well with the security updates, why would they hold off on the S2?

I wish everybody wasn't so damn negative every time an update comes along. Nobody is going to self-destruct if it takes a couple weeks.

I wish everybody wasn't so damn negative every time an update comes along. Nobody is going to self-destruct if it takes a couple weeks.

I'm not negative. In fact I've been very impressed with the improvement verizon had shown in the update department. However given the fact that the Verizon support pages show software version BPC1 as the most current software for the 3g model, even though they sold me one with BPC7 on it 2 weeks ago leads me to believe that most of their 3g versions in the wild haven't even been updated to the software I have yet, let alone a version that is newer than that. Seems like that might take awhile to sort itself out.

It's not about being negative, most of us purchased the watch hearing all the promises of features to come and have been waiting for these ever since. It's basically a bait and switch until everything actually arrives. For me Samsung pay was promised last year and it's even still listed on T mobiles support page but still I don't have it.

This is why I wish Samsung would do what Apple has done. Bypass the carrier for updates. This is no longer the dark ages of mobile communications and the fact that the carriers are involved as much as they are is ridiculous. As long as the devices is compliant with FCC and carrier requirements than let the OEM issue the updates. This includes the important security updates.
