New "green battery" Note7 version, extremely slow charging!

After a VERY SLOW first charge, the 2nd charge went fast - very fast. (As in 14% - 100% in about 80 minutes). I am much happier now. Several folks have reported the first charge being slow. Se what happens on the 2nd, it might improve. Mine is all good now :-)

On my first charge with my replacement Note 7... thus far it seems to be charging just fine. About 1% per minute, in fact.

It'll happen give it time we'll all have the green icon mines seem to not drain nearly as much love the replacement so far no issues with charging what so ever

Take into account that with the initial setup and downloads you're using more screen on and the processor is working a lot harder, that is where I would guess most of the heat in the phone is coming from, not so much the battery.

I talked to verizon and samsung yesterday. Verizon was unable to reproduce the issue that I was having and samsung, while being extremely friendly, was not able to figure out what was wrong. Since then, I charged it over night and made it to 100%. It seems to be functioning normally again on all chargers.

Verizon and Samsung said that downloading all the apps (as one does with a new phone) could cause the slow down I was seeing. Maybe I really was just downloading too much for the 6 hours I had it plugged in. ¯\_(._.)_/¯

FWIW, my phone charges very slowly for the first hour or two I had it, but has been at normal speeds on all my chargers, Samsung and third party, since then. Updating to the green icon version did not change that.

Yeah I got the replacement with the green battery yesterday and it has been on a quick charger for 25 min and has gone from 87 percent to 88 percent. Samsung is really messing up with this one.

I haven't had a single issue charging with the green battery update. Do you do wireless charging? I've accidentally bumped my phone slightly off in the night before so that it would stop charging. With the Note 7 being so large, that's a lot easier to do.

As a couple of people have mentioned the first few charges was definitely slower then before. But after that it seemed to go back to normal charging times. I've been using both wireless and cable fast charging and noticed the time remaining did go down after my 3rd recharge.

I only noticed one anomaly. I use an older Nokia wireless charger, and for the first 2 nights, the wireless charging will be really_really slow. At one point it seemed to sit at 81%.

I took the phone off the puck and put it back on and it went to 100% no problem.

Never saw an issue using USB-C charging.

Mine charges fine on wired charger...wirelessly, like the pre-recalled Note 7, is much slower than my Note 5 ever was, even if it shows Fast Charging.

My husband & I returned to our Note 4s after we released our "bad" Note 7s to AT&T. Our Note 4s have always charged quickly. NOW though, both our Note 4s charge extremely slowly; in fact, last night and this morning my Note 4 seemed to get stuck on 91% & 87%----So we are wondering whether Samsung has sent out an update to all Note versions to decrease charging speeds . . .

Did your note 4s update would you have noticed that if they restarted

I'm uncertain of what your question means :(
I actually rebooted my Note 4 last night but it did no good . . . (I thought rebooting might jumpstart the battery; however it did not.)

You were unsure if Samsung updated all notes and not just the 7s, I was asking if your 4s could of updated with out you noticing?
After 2 years my 4 updated to marshmallow and that created a few problems with some apps.
So if the 7 updates to new software I will hold out to see how it affects others and let them work the bugs out first
