Wow is all I can say! I love this phone! I thought BB was the best business phone, but the way I have my new X set up is wonderful. I have all my business travel stuff on one page. I put all my airline websites, my hotels, maps, callendar, and city weather and email on my "Travel Page". Another page is my fun stuff: my guitar forums, tennis forums, espn, etc.

Everything is so quick and easy to get to. Love the screen size. Love this phone!

Congrats and welcome to the supreme OS on Earth. You are now part of the collective. DROOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDD

Welcome to the Dark Side my friend the Sith Lord (Droid1) will be pleased. We will soon train you in the ways of the Dark Side(rooting lolz)

I came from the blackberry storm 2 and I'm having the same reaction that your are my friend. I'm loving all the things that this phone can do. And most of all I'm happy about the overall speed of the phone. I didn't realize I was cheating myself out of something great. Lol. Its just so fast and snappy.

There are things that I miss such as bbm and.......well that's poetry much the only thing I miss, but I'm getting my friends to join either p Messenger or g talk.

Anyways...this phone is great...oh yeah...widgets Are orgasmic.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; DROIDX Build/VZW) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17 480X854 motorola DROIDX)

I am coming from the BlackBerry? Tour? 9630 to the DX. I was fru?d to death with the POS trackball and VZW not doing anything about it except sending me more defective units. I can say that I?d certainly buy the DX again.

They only thing I wished my DX would do is to play music videos consecutively. On my 9630 I can have it play all music videos in a specific folder by having it "play all". I have not found an android app that would have the DX perform this function. I can only play one video and then have to select the next. Any suggestions?

Were you originally on Verizon? I have a Sick Service (AT&T) and a Sick BB9700, thinking seriouslly of moving to Droid X and Verizon, Im in Columbus Ohio- any guidance would be welcolmed

hey man, i too dumped by tour for the X, and I must say what an improvement! First off no more tiny little screen, i got a big *** screen on the X now! Second of all the tours picture quality was good, but the X is just wow! So much better! Im so glad to be part of such an awesome community such as the android community. And all the apps are amazing! Everyone should have an android device!

Me, from a S2.
When RIM basically abandoned the S2 and didn't have a larger screen S3 coming, I jumped ship.

I could not be happier. Best Phone I've owned.
My progression was
Samsung i600, Treo 700W, Samsung I760, Storm, Storm 2 -> Droid X!

Doh! That means at that rate mine will get sent on the "ship by" date of the 20th - mine was ordered on 9/7. Starting to get anxious for it to arrive so I can start loading the apps on my list! :)

Thanks for the info - not what I wanted to hear necessarily, but oh well.

Converted from the S2. I went from an 8830 to an S1 to an S2. I have nothing against BB, I just wanted to try something new and different, and I'm definitely starting to love this thing. The amount of crap you can do with it is ridiculous.

I miss a couple of things from BB, in particular, the calendar, but it's nothing that I can't live without. BBs are definitely great for email and the like, but if they really want to get into the consumer market they need to quit making "refresh" phones and come out with something that is actually new. Until then, I don't see myself leaving Android. The possibilities with this thing are endless and the email isn't really that far behind (I don't use a work email) that I have to go back. I use Gmail and Hotmail and I don't have any issues with using it. I don't really need to know that a clothes site has sent me more online coupons every 2 minutes, every 15 minutes will do!

I haven't put this thing down since I opened that damn box. I haven't done one thing but play around with this thing.
