New leaked photos FINAL THOUGHTS?

I like that they kept the same size as the s7/edge with including a much larger screen. I will reserve judgment until they are announced because pics never seem to do these phones justice. I like the removal of buttons on the front along with the slimming of the bezels.

Saw this picture on a AndroidCentral blog post. Looks amazing. So so much screen to work with. Split screen view is going to be so nice. Its going to be hard to wait, but once this device is on the shelves i expect big sales. Apple better take some notes. We don't like bezels haha :D

If THIS is this nice... it's going to be even harder to WAIT for the Note 8! Hey, did that just ryhme?

I'never sure the phone is gonna be fast.
And have nougat
But I do not like the rounded edges.
Not sure I can go back to them.

I haven't seen this pic until now, this right here just sold me on the phone. Holy crap!!! After evleaks posted the "official" render I wasn't took happy and thought it looked more like the s7 versus the note 7 I was thinking about skipping. After seeing it side by side with the note 7 it is a little more rounded but man it looks awesome.

Without the physical home button and the small top and bottom bezels the s8 has a slightly bigger screen than the note 7 but is waaaayyy smaller. The s8+ has a huge screen but is only slightly bigger than the note 7. I thought the note 7 was ok in size, definitely a lot more manageable than the iphone 7 plus. I usually hate big phones but the note 7 wasn't bad. I am currently using a iphone 7 but I cannot decide if I should go s8 or s8+.

Im getting excited!!!!

Well upon further review this picture is totally photoshopped. The galaxy s8 and s8 + are clearly just the same phone but the picture has been expanded, the same shadows. And it looks like they took the picture from the bgr leak. So this isn't what it actually looks like next to the note 7

People suck, huh?

S8 curved screen: is it really a good idea?

I mean, what's the point? It helps give you notifications when faced down with the edges lighting up. Come on, really? Nobody puts their phone down like that. Edge apps? That's nothing more than a toolbar shortcut gimmick. Now sure, it does looks beautiful, but with the curves all around, putting on a screen protector will be a nightmare. The Gorilla Glass 5 is prone to scratching, and with little options to keep the glass protected, the beautiful screen will no longer be beautiful from everyday use (will be an ugly scratched mess). The "wet install" screen protectors are ugly and looks like a sticky mess. With the S7, I've had difficulty putting on screen protectors. Without a screen protector, 1 year later, the phone will have lots of blemishes (unavoidable scratches). So what are your thoughts? Is this just a disposable beautiful phone? How does Samsung expect customers to install screen protectors? They should have at least include a screen protector preinstalled for you to keep it nice looking.

UPDATE: New leaked photos show what appear to be a tempered glass screen protector on the S8. There is no visible halo effect, which is practically impossible to avoid with curved glass. Will this be included with the S8? Or will the S8 be able to have glass screen protectors easily installed?

Re: S8 curved screen: is it really a good idea?

As I said in a previous post I was hoping the smaller S8 would be a flat screen similar dimensions to LG G6 And have the S8+ a curved display

The curved display does make it look sleeker but I feel like it's more vulnerable to nicks and scratches

Re: S8 curved screen: is it really a good idea?

The screen protector shown looks like a Zizo brand which doesn't actually adhear to the screen, but only on the bezels.

Re: S8 curved screen: is it really a good idea?

Samsung curved displays are very popular. That's really the only explanation they need. Once they stop selling, they'll move on to something else.

Re: S8 curved screen: is it really a good idea?

It's not for function, it's for form. People buy the edge version of the S7 more and the Note 7 was selling well before it got recalled so overall, people like the edge. They're going to go with the design that sells the most. If you want flat, there's always The G6.

Not liking the new UI. I liked the direction TouchWiz was going to Grace UI in the Note 7. Personal preference but to me it's a step backwards.
