New Moto Connect update

so according to moto the new connect update will add new watch faces and some basic facer type features. supposed to be rolling out over the next few days. anybody get it yet? also does your facer eat more battery??? it seems to use much more than stock watch faces. Or does it depend on the type of face???

I can't get my faces to change to the new ones. I can customize it but it won't push to the watch. I have reset the watch and reinstalled the moto connect app with no luck. Any ideas ?

Works fine for me. Some of the new watch faces are pretty ugly. The "Design your own" watch face is really good too; it's nice that you can set how bright you want the background picture to be, to make it as subtle or obvious as you like. It's good to see Motorola continuing to develop the 360.

try to restart your phone also. sometimes you have to do both. i havent had problems yet
 
For those that are curious about what the new watch faces look like, I took a photo of them...

I'm a big fan of the Pascual one, because of the calender integration ticks.

Except for the Pascual one, I think they are all ugly. Besides, I want a digital time on the face too, and they don't seem to want to offer that for some strange reason. So far, the only face that is close to what I want is "Rich Watchface : Theme Leather", but the date is a bit small, the analog has no numbers, and the background is not black. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...lamo.wear.richwatchfaceleather&token=D9JOqdec

hmm didn't even see that..no pic for me either.... but did u see under devices there is something called keylink! that's new!

I'm having the exact same issues. I've tried everything... Restarting, resetting, uninstalling both the Connect update and Android Wear. So far, nothing had worked.

The only thing I can think of is that it's somehow not ready for Lollipop. I did sideload the soak test update, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't working for me last night before that.

I'm on 4.4.4 and I've done the same things as you and no luck.
 
Got the update, really like it. Had no issues at all. Everything works perfect. No restarts necessary. Have a cool pic on the my design face. Worked like a charm.

I was having issues with getting the new faces working, but then it just started working. I'm not sure what I did to get it to work. I didn't have to reboot anything.
 
Still doesn't look like I have the updated version of connect. Does it update automatically?

The app doesn't show up in my list of installed apps, and i can't even find it on the play store to see if an update is available.

It's tricky, and unnecessarily so. Open the Play Store application and go to "My Apps" in the play store. By default, you'll be on the INSTALLED tab. Even though the application is installed, you won't see it here. Swipe to the ALL tab, and scroll down until you find Motorola Connect, which will say UPDATE. Select it, then the UPDATE option. Viola. Crazy, huh?
