New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

It seems to me that it's directly related to the time of order.. So far everyone that ordered before 8:45 am PST/ 9:45 am MST/ 10:45 CST/ 11:45 EST hasn't received a back order email yet. And anything above that has... I ordered at 8:33 AM PST and live in Cali and have not received a back order email yet..

I ordered mine at 11:52AM EST and still no backorder or shipping emails. I'm sure I'll get one or the other sometime today though. Will post when I know.

That is not the case. The rep told me straight up that anyone who ordered more than one item on google play has received a backorder email. She said there are too many customers to go through and send a email to about a real backorder so they sent it to everyone who got more than one thing. Depending on what you bought you may not actually be on backorder, just received the email like everyone else.

Thats like 10 to 12 minutes after the store went live. If you get it shipped that'd be awesome, if I don't get it shipped I'm gonna verbally assault Google reps I ordered at 8:33 PST

It seems that a majority of the backorder emails are being sent to those that ordered 30+ minutes after sales went live. I finally got through around ~10 minutes of sales starting and have not received any back order email yet.

My order was at 10:51am CST. I'm not sure what the "official" launch time, but I know that is close to the launch time. I still have not received any backorder email either. Still holding out hope!!

Thats sort of what I was thinking. Mine went through right at 11:45AM EST and have not received any email of any sort, back order or shipping.

Ordered 11:59am EST and have tracking number with item scanned in Louisville. Live in Maryland. Received shipping email 4am this morning. Have the 8GB version and that's all I ordered.

So far the most consistent thing I have noticed is nobody from the West coast has received a backorder email....it could be they are pushing the email based on time zones....who knows...someone mentioned 3 waves of emails...maybe the last wave is for us West coasters.....let's hope not...

I cannot say. I have been talking to google play a lot in the past days and since it has only been concerning my order I do not know about yours. What time did you order? I ordered at 1:06.

In Arkansas ordered 1 8gb, have received no shipping information or back order email. I don't know if I should be expecting one or not. Ordered a little after noon central time. Can't imagine a lot of these were sold in Arkansas so holding out hope I get shipping info later.

Ok I just got off the phone with one of the supervisors of CSR, who has also ordered a NEXUS 4 and is VERY bummed out too about this email employees get theirs' last i guess. Ok the orders ARE being shipped out as they were ordered. EARLIER first. "Nicole" told me that they were told to say 3 weeks as a guesstimate because Google is trying to mass send sections of orders out. What she told to imagine is that the shipping process is a cube right? So they cut it up in to bits and send sections of orders out by earliest order time. So here is the story she says that all ordered phones hopefully are completely out by 3 weeks tops. I hope Nicole is right because she did sound angry and sad, also saying how she was one of the many disappointed on how google handled this situation.

This is my understanding and what I believe is happening as well. It seems as though no one who ordered after Noon eastern time will receive their phones, just the early orders. I really hope the "three weeks" is a long guesstimate and I get my phone asap!!!
