I had 2 Nexus 6 phones so I sold one and bought a Note 5 from a co worker that he bought new in May for his wife, she was an Apple person and didn't like it so it just sat there for a few months, phone is virtually brand new, I did a full wipe on the phone and set it up as a new device with a mininimal amount of apps, today was my first full day using it and the battery life is horrible. 13 1/2 hours total time off charger, 2 1/2 hours screen on time, about 12 text messages, 29 minutes of phone calls 2 email accounts and it was down to 18% after the total 13 1/2 hours. Looking at GSam Android System was 37% and Phone was 24%. Looked at each app in battery stats nothing was using any real battery except those 2 things. Maybe this is why she hated the phone, as she put it. Anyone have any ideas, I'm at a loss considering I just did a full reset and have hardly any apps loaded, the android system thing seems to be killing it and I don't have a clue what the phone app is using, in all my years of owning an android device I've never seen the phone using that much battery, especially considering I only used the phone a total of 29 minutes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Android system shouldn't be high on the Note 5. Can you post some battery stats and GSam stats?

Give it a few days. Google updates, downloads, etc will hurt battery at first.

Did all my app loading, updates, and whatever, then did a cache wipe then turned off the phone charged to 100% before I started using it. But thank you for the input.

I am on day 2, I should have taken a screen shot before I charged the phone again, if today is like yesterday I'll do that and post it on here. Thank you for your input.

Do a factory reset. When mine updated to marshmallow, I got less then 3 hours of screen time. After factory reset, 5 hours.
