NEW (Official) EVO Froyo OTA update thread

Please help.

Does anyone else have to click the box to get flash to run using the Dolphin Brower? It works fine using the stock browser. Is there a setting for automatic load flash on Dolphin Browser?

Same with me running unrevoked3 :)

I downloaded the update and tried to install it. It rebooted, went to what I assume is the update screen (little green android standing next to a box with an arrow coming out of it) then the box with the arrow changes to a triangle with an exclamation point and nothing further happens :( I'm running the unrEVOked root...

I don't know what's going up but everytime I try to use the browser, stock or Skyfire, I got booted out of the browser. Anybody else having this problem?

Got the update last night. Downloaded pretty quick over WiFi. Walked away while install was doing it's thing and came back to a nice clean upgrade. So far I haven't noticed any issues, but still testing everything.

browser crash

If you previously installed the 10.1 flash beta, froyo no like, because it is native. Unfortunately you must wipe the phone with "clear data storage" on a hard reset. Power up holding volume down to access the menu. This will wipe the phone but restore operation.

I cycled power to the device (first time since the update last night) and now mail is being pushed again. Give it a shot.

Only showing 1 app downloaded in market.. Have alot more then 1. Anybody else having this problem? Any suggestions?

2.2 Update

My update went fine, but now two of my apps are not working!!! Sygic and Copilot GPS apps. Nice! I guess I could try reinstalling them.

I updated to Froyo last night and just checked the Market this morning and found that none of my apps are listed in the Downloads folder. Any idea why it happened or how to fix it?

Try downloading a free app. Some have reported that doing an app download has restored the list.

re: Gmail pushes - After updating to .3 on Friday night, my main Gmail account was pushing but not my secondary. After a couple of reboots and going in and checking the settings, it started to behave properly. Not sure what caused it or fixed it.

re: Downloaded apps in list - Immediately after the update, it only showed one app (Maps) in my list, but now it appears to have them all. Whether running a couple of AppBrain syncs helped is unknown. (Update All is da shiznatch, yo!)

re: Camera not working - I've seen elsewhere here that if you have LED Light installed, it can cause problems. While my camera worked fine for a while, on Sunday afternoon it refused to start or be available to scanner apps. Rebooting didn't help, but for some reason it started working again that night. I've removed LED Light just to be safe and because Flashlight is so much better.

Now I just have to wait for HTC to come up with a remedy for us impatient gun-jumpers. :(

Downloaded successfully last night at 6pm pst. Used up 60% of the battery in 2 hours of heavy use. Plugged in the charger to get it to 100% so I could see how it holds a charge overnight. Unplugged it at 10pm and woke up at 6am to find it dead. During boot-up I see it has 4% battery. What is up with this? I could of had 80% under the prior software.

I like 2.2 for everything else. Does anyone know of another task killer. My advanced task killer does not seem to work under 2.2. I think this is part of my battery problem last night.

Apps not working...

Reinstalling Sygic and Copilot did not work. I am NOT happy! Android devices /operating systems seem to have this problem. I have an Archos Android device that is the same way. A major update causes some apps to stop working. One good reason to not buy apps and just use free ones.

I updated last night and immediately after it booted up I got at error message "android.process.media" has stopped unexpectedly. It also gave me an option to report the problem and I did, but now I'm seeing the error message constantly. I did several reboots and battery pulls and I always see it on startup. If I try to use the regular camera or camcorder I get this message (I never downloaded LED flashlight so there's nothing to uninstall) I can't use any notifications sound. I can't even open my ringtones. Anytime I get email I receive email I get no sound just the error message.

Can anyone help?
