NEW (Official) EVO Froyo OTA update thread

I can't play any of my videos now, when I click on it it says sorry video can not be played. Then if I try it again it freezes on a black screen.

this comes out when i try to update

I think the Chrome to Android is awesome already. I've used it three times to send directions to my phone for directions. (Google Maps > get directions > send to phone > open phone > pull down notification bar > tap directions and boom opens Google Navigation with everything set. Looking for a phone number on your web browser? Just highlight the phone number and hit send to phone > unlock phone > pull notification bar > tap notification > opens dialer with number already there. There's SO many situations that I've already used it in this weekend already. The potential is awesome. It can send ANY link to your phone.

have it installed on my phone but cannot find extension for web browser. Have searched chrome to phone and not finding it..

Installed Froyo and everything seems to be running fine..no problems with video, wifi, etc. One thing though that I have noticed is that when tethering with mobile hotspot, I've noticed my 4G speed has decreased considerably. Before, I was running about 3-5 mbps download and now I'm running about .89-1.3 mbps download. I've only been running Froyo for about 15 mins (unrooted) so it may correct itself but wondering if anyone else has seen decrease in 4g speeds. Either way, kudos to Sprint and HTC for this early treat!

The update allows my PPTP vpn to work using Sprint's hotspot feature (extra charge version), which is sweet.

Looks like the gmail app has to resync its data and resets the list of labels to sync.

Yeah, I noticed this too. I had been going round and round between Sprint and our UTM Appliance vendor trying to figure out why I could not establish a pptp connection with a laptop through the EVO. Now that this works, I can finally retire the old moble broadband card and it's $60/month charge.

I've been getting great 4G speeds while tethering with 2.2. I would recommend a restart about 20 minutes after the update looks like it completes. (I think there are several background things happening after the update completes)

Seriously guys..Many say that this update was supposed to bring a more smooth and quick experience. My phone seems very sluggish and takes a while to pull up handcent. I was having sluggishness problems before though..Can someone help?

I got my update a few hours ago. I manually did an update check and got a message that 2.2 was ready. From download to using my phone again was about 15 minutes. Went smooth. So far the only issue I had was Swype not work. Fixed that with an uninstall and a reinstall.
