One cool thing I've noticed is that everything can be viewed in landscape mode now. Before the sense UI was only portrait.
How are you getting everything in landscape mode? Your home screen flips to landscape if you have kickstand out? My doesn't. Is there a setting for this? Also... I thought it said we would have the ability to view apps in tab form. This didn't happen for me, did it anyone else?

The Apps in "tab form" is a Gingerbread ability, this update was not Gingerbread. The landscape mode he is speaking of, if I'm right, is everything except the app drawer and your home screens (that's how it is for me). Correct me if I'm wrong.
Regards.

Sounds right then. So really there has been no changes in regards to what it can do via landscape mode. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Weird that Verizon has the tabbed feature listed in the OTA description if they didn't push it.
Still can't access the update.....smh
I updated using the ruu I have factory reset twice already. The market is updated, bit I cannot install anyhingat all it keeps saying unsuccessful on all apps that I've tried.
Open the phone dialer and dial *#*#2432546#*#*. The number should then go blank and you will look for a notification on the status bar for ?Check in succeeded.? You can then tap Menu while on the Home screen followed by Settings>System Updates.
From what I was told by a Verizon rep was: "We have been told by HTC that a batch of phones were shipped out with hardware issues, and if there is still issues with the phone after the update to call Verizon and they will overnight a new phone to you". Now I have no way of saying that this is absolutely true but it is what I was told. And I got the update and my phone was screwed, I called Verizon and they shipped me a new phone (Over night just like they said) and it works GREAT! Great 4g signal, battery lasts longer (original battery from first phone, remember to keep that and the micro sd from your phone as they dont replace those items) and the performance is better imo.
I would suggest that you call and talk to the people at Verizon, at the very least you will get a new phone like I did (I had a scratch on mine that was an eye sore anyway). They will tell you that it will come with the new update installed, this may be the case for you also but in my case as soon as I turned it on it automatically updated it so no more hotspot for mebut thats ok, i never used it anyway.
Good Luck.

This isn't new. Same behavior prior to OTA update.Once you open your App Drawer, touch the menu option. You will see an option that says "list" - this will place all of your apps in alpha order. If you want to switch back, follow the same steps and choose "grid." This is the only difference I can find in the application drawer. Not sure why this would be called tabbed.
got the update this morning...so far noticing no improvements...GPS is not any better. Tested in the office with RunKepper(great running app) never connected -- tested outside at lunch....still took 4 or 5 attempts to get a GPS signal(same as before update)...also noticed that when streaming video(HBO GO) had a lot more pauses\buffering than before. but my network has always been spotty downtown but did seem worse after update. will test again when home to see if the network is still as good there.
Have you tried a factory data reset? I know they are a pain but they really DO fix a lot of problems.
I did one today, seems to have made my data and signal strength better but my GPS is still wonky. I get a quick and accurate fix but its still dropping satellites like they're going out of style which makes Navigation not so accurate. Really hope the next update isnt too far off, i'm not liking this one but I'm not trading this phone in for a new one. Its been perfect since day one until this update messed with my GPS.
Sadly, it may be a fault of LTE interference. Since there was no firmware update to the GPS, just the cellular antenna.
Can someone else confirm that this is true.
