Been registered for a little bit, but haven't posted. Didn't have anything to contribute.
Now I do, I guess, lol.
This is gonna be kinda long so if you don't want to read everything, just scroll down to the stop here for the questions.
I was planning on getting the Droid X. Got to play around with the Droid 2 at a Verizon stall and it was pretty cool. The Droid X wasn't working, knew it wasn't an issue with the Droid X but just that particular display phone.
Anyways, I got the Android Emulator and SDK setup on this computer and played around with the Android 2.2 package. Also got the Hello Android app programmed and installed to get a feel for the development and install process. Still got some toying around to do with the signing and packaging. Sounds real simple though. I am totally loving it. I am getting a Motorola Brand Android phone eventually, no doubt.
The reason I want Motorola is that I've never had any major issues with a Moto phone. I've had both LG and Samsungs before and they just don't seem to be durable enough for me. Not that LG and Samsung don't make quality products, I just haven't had much luck with them. Although, the Fascinate does sound pretty nice. The HTC phones don't seem to bad either, but I was pretty much sold on the Droid X.
However, I don't think I want it anymore. See, I'm not really eligible for an upgrade until March. I could use my moms annual upgrade. I'm still on my family's share plan. Much cheaper for me.
My Samsung Gleam that I have now is starting to fall apart. None of the side buttons work and the End Call button has ceased to function. Now it shuts itself off randomly. Can't say it was bad phone, I put it through a lot. Having my old construction worker habits, I don't really take care of my phones. I've always had the cheap solutions, too.
Now I'm ready for a good quality phone that will be outdated in 6 months, lol.
What I was thinking, is that I should wait till March when I'm eligible for my upgrade. When that time comes, there should be new line of phones available at the time.

So anyways, to end this really long post. What do you all think?
Would you wait the 6 months until March to get one of the phones available then?
Or would you just go ahead, do the annual upgrade and get the Droid X?
I don't want to wait any longer than March for an even better phone cause then I would be waiting forever and never get a new phone.
Although, there is also the rumour that Verizon is stopping the unlimited data plan as well to think about.
For me, getting locked into the Unlimited Plan is ideal because I've managed to hang on to my current plan for 4 years now.
Anyways, this has gone on way to long now, so I'll end it here. Thanks everyone!
