New Photo and Video Albums Randomly Deleted

My roommate and I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S9 and they told me they had moved some pictures to a new album and went to check the photo for reference and they were deleted the next day. Baffled I tried the same thing with some videos, made an album specifically for the videos and moved them there, went to see the videos only to find that they and the album were both gone.

So, the process was download video-> made new album-> moved downloaded videos to album-> move was a success.

It was there for about a day or so if I'm to guess. I just noticed today that all traces of it were gone. Has anyone else had this problem? I never had this problem with any other galaxy phones

I've had issues with my SD card tray on numerous Galaxy phones through the years. The phones would no longer acknowledge there was an SD card installed and when I would remove and reinstall there would be issues such as I would lose files and images would have glitches making them unusable.
