It does seem suspiciously like an updated LGU2 in terms of appearance and specs.

Also probably won't have a cell radio, even if real.

One of the two will, which makes total sense, since the new AW version will have more stand-alone functionality. The question I have is whether it will be carrier unlocked (likely) and the sim card user accessible (the Gear S2 now has an embedded sim, and I am hoping that's not a sign of things to come...)

I won't buy a device with an embedded SIM.
I need to own my device and for me that means unlocked bootloader and carrier unlocked.
It's my device, not theirs.

Same here, would never buy anything with an esim.
