How are you trying to run it (there are different methods)? Make sure it's in the root of your sd card. Power off then hold vol down and power button until it boots. It should take. Maybe try downloading it again and checking that the MD5 sum matches.

Just trying to help man, not saying you don't know or haven't tried these things. :)

Thank you for all your help it's greatly appreciated. I will download again and see if that works

Flashing New Radio rightnow.... I will post back with my update on it... :)

EDIT: just flashed... not seeing an instant 4g lock, but was quicker than with my old .0627 radio... will keep posted on any known issues as they arise :)

according to speed test (which i take with grain of salt) I am getting on average 12.04 Mbps Down and 4.03 Up... not to bad

Is it possible to throttle down 4G speeds with a new radio? Not sure if it's the 4G in my area or the new radio, but I've been testing a lot lower speeds than I've ever seen over the past 2 days. I just flashed back to mr2.5 and my test speeds have gone up. Anyone else seeing this, I'm on CM7?

shoulnt the official ota mr2 be better than a leak ruu ???

I would expect the opposite (with caveats). My guess is that the official MR2 radio code is several months old by now. It had to go through quite a bit of testing before being pushed to users and that takes time. Since then development of the radios (and gingerbread) has continued. Getting a leak means getting newer code.

This is where the caveat comes in. Newer code MIGHT be better depending on how many tweaks and optimizations were added. The downside to updated code is bugs. None of it has been officially regression tested so who knows what we're getting. If we're lucky they've added tweaks for battery life, signal optimization and bug fixes. If we're unlucky the code could potentially brick the phone. This is the chance you take when installing leaks ... living on the edge ;)

For the record I installed the leaked radio last night. Why? I'm chasing better battery life! I'm guessing it will take a few more months before the radio code for the new LTE radio is fully optimized but once we're there I expect we'll get a full days use of our 4G devices with no problem. That means when a new radio is leaked I'm gonna try it.

I'm going to disagree with this to an extent. The reason being is that the LTE radios themselves require much more current than previous generation 3g radios in order to function, and you also need a higher number of them. The "fix" is going to be the next generation or two of LTE radios. They will be built on a smaller form factor (0.13 or 0.09 micron) which means less current draw, as well as general optimization of the technology. While software optimization will improve the battery life of 1st gen LTE radios to a small extent, we are really at the mercy of being early adopters of a technology as the power consumption is very much a hardware issue and not as much to do with software..

hmmm not good today with the new radio, 4 short calls 2 text messages and down 37%(loss) battery in 2 hrs

edit: wait i think i just found my battery drain, my facebook for htc was always syncing. i was wondering what was always on, cause of the data/sync circle on the notification bar was always there. unchecked sync live feed and the circle went away. will see what happens there.

Who knows?

This "leak" radio may be what gets released with the next update, OR it may end up never officially seeing the light of day, and being replaced by a new version by the time the next official update gets released.

Personally, I haven't seen any comments that make me say, "I gotta install this!"...so I'm sticking with the OTA MR2 radio for now, especially since I'm not having any issues with my current radio.

Flashed this 2 days ago and I have not noticed much difference, other than what I posted earlier. So far the battery life has been a little better, considering I stream internet radio at work for 5-6 hours and I watched some netflix. On the extended battery I was only down to 50% battery at 1030pm after unplugging at around 1:00pm.
