New software update from AT&T

I am getting a Server Unavailable Error.

I've always gotten that error message every time I've checked for updates since the day I got my phone. Doesn't matter if I try to do it over wi-fi or an LTE connection. Really torques me off.

I got that at first...I think you have to just keep trying.

I was finally able to get the update. I feel you pain...it would **** me off also.

Glad to hear there is a camera fix in the update.

Happy for you guys/gals on ATT. Early reports are that it has fixed the capacitive button problem, plus others. Hope it comes to Verizon with this software in place. We are now hoping for a late June release on Big Red.

I think the article in that link is talking about the wrong software version. The article talks about 1.29.206.11. This AT&T update delivers version 1.26.502.12.

I thought the firmware version is different for each carrier so phones like on sprint wont match the firmware numbers that are on ATT even thought they do have the same firmware.

I could be wrong though

The article also talks about the update being 229MB where this one was only 20MB so it does not look to be the same update.

Not completely sure either, but I've heard reports in the past several days of people with unlocked and developer versions of the One on AT&T receiving the 1.29 update, so I would think it is still forthcoming.

B-b-b-but the camera fix is baked into the US version already. Another article to stir things up.

This update must be contained in the leaked ruu. I have no updates available.

Sent from my HTC One using Android Central Forums

Edit to confirm. Software version I've been on for a few days now matches the update.

After about 50 tries, mine finally connected with the server. After installation, I am at 1.26.502.12, up from *.10. We'll see if we notice any differences, although I am one of those who did not have too many issues with the home and back buttons.
