Many thanks

That depends. App additional data and personal files will still work. However, check the OS version of both tablets. Older versions of Android still allowed full app data to be moved to an SD card (i.e. ALL of it; app main files and additional downloads/assets). Newer versions, however, limited what can be moved to a card other than media files (i.e. Only app media downloads and external assets can be moved, while the main app files must reside in internal memory). If the versions are different this way, copying the card will not transfer the apps because this is no longer allowed on Android.

Additionally, some apps encrypt their data to a specific device and/or card, so copying files manually (or simply moving to a new device) wouldn't work and you'd have to transfer or copy using the app's approved methods.

Thanks for your reply,,,,,So not even using laptop to just copy & paste all across from old one to new one would work?

Again, unless the OS allows for the exact same things and the app hasn't tied the files to a specific device/card, nope. Only personal files would work. Mind you, you can still do a one-to-one copy of the data on the card using a computer, but while the data is in the new card, it's the OS and/or the app that won't recognize it.
