New to android, Kies issues

I recently upgraded to the infuse 4g from an iPhone 3g. I love the new phone, but all the capabilities are kind of overwhelming.

After doing some reading on here, I downloaded samsung Kies 2 and plugged in my phone. The phone installs the drivers on my computer but won't connect to Kies. It says "this device is not supported by kies 2.0"

Any ideas how to make this work?

Kies does not work for the Infuse. I contacted Samsung and they gave no timeframe as to when, if ever, it will work for that phone. My understanding is the Kies program works for only non-US phones (but I am not positive on this part).
