went from iPhone with iTunes to HTC Vivid and downloaded the HTC Sync thing.. I hope it's the right one.. anyway.,when it starts up it say save to card or phone.. what's the difference ??

You can save content to a media card, which freed up internal memory that can get bogged down with a lot of daily Crapola. That's one big advantage.
