Just rooted for the first time, and attempting to delete the nonsense that came with the phone. Read through the xda rooting info - and doesn't seem to apply the same with a Mac. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm probably just overlooking something simple...or maybe not.

Not sure if it's as simple as opening up the files when mounted, or if I have to mount system in recovery. If the latter, when I reboot it isn't mounted.

Or, if there is a way to do it directly on the dINC... http://forum.androidcentral.com/images/icons/icon3.gif

Here's what I do, no computer necessary. First, download an app called root explorer. Go to system>apps and make sure you are in r/w instead of ro. (read/write and read only). You will notice all of your apps files end in .apk . If you long press the files and rename them .apk.bak , the phone will no longer recognize it as an app and will not run it as one. The file is still there, just not showing up in your app drawer. You can always take the .bak off if you want the app back...
