hey all decided I should post at least to say hello, had my fascinate for about a month and was saved by the power of Odin3 a couple of weeks ago, I'm back at playing with my fascinate after the update and really leaching knowledge. If I post and it sounds stupid pm plz see if I can clarify with the understanding I have. Thanks guys you're all awesome for letting guys who shouldnt be playing with this get to "play" with it anyway

Hello! I have had Android phones but just discovered this forum. My Droid Eris decided to croak though and was able to get a Fascinate varily inexpensive, now just waiting for it to be delivered. I am looking over things and learning about rooting and themes, it is kinda confusing but I am trying. Thanks everyone!

Hello fellow Fascinate enthusiasts! I have had my fascinate for almost 2 months. Picked it up off ebay cheap brand new. My wife has had one since February and we both are very happy with the phone. I also have a Droid X but haven't used it sine I got my Fassy. I have been eligible for an up grade since February, but until a phone I like more than this one comes I I am going to use it. I also was heavy into hacking the Motorola RAZR's a few years ago so this forum is great with all off the modifications that can be made to the Fassy. I look forward to spending time with you all.

New to the forums here. Had my Fascinate and my Droid X since 9/30/10. Been reasonably happy with both with minor tweaks. Droid X had least amount of tweaks to make it a nice Multimedia unit. And the SF is my #1 Phone/do it all unit. Had it set up pretty nicely with working Z4root 1.3.0, OCLF 2.0, when it was on 2.1 but when the 2.2 OTA update failed multiple times:'( and I was directed by Verizon to do a Factory reset. I uninstalled my Z4, OCLF, and both AVG and Lookout mobile security apps.
Now I have Superuser(latest version) stuck on my phone. Can't get root through following the steps in the how to root sticky. SuperUser isn't granting permissions to anything and I can't figure out how to remove it so I can start fresh. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. And I'd be happy to discuss any apps I have installed on either phone.
PS this seems like the Coolest forum I've ever been on since WWW. Midwestneons.com

Hey!! I am not a new user of Android but I am a new Fascinate user! Coming from my crappy Sprint service but amazing Evo, its a definite switch but so far I am loving it! Any tips?

I'm Damon and this Samsung Fascinate is my FIRST Android device. I'm coming from Windows Mobile 6.5.X. My Android is still completely stock because I am VERY confused on this rooting process and flashing ROMs. I've read every walkthrough for beginners but I'm still not really understanding the process and I'm scared I will mess something up LOL.

If you think the phone is fast now, wait till you root it and run a different rom on it. Even to this day I'm blown away by how fast this thing is, there is absolutely no lag. When the thunderbolt first came out, I was very unimpressed with its speed. The Fascinate has the best hardware out of the single core 1 ghz phones. My friend just recently rooted his EVO 4G running CM7 and my phone still leaves his phone in the dust. His phone can't even run live wall paper and scroll smoothly. He is going to over clock just to keep up with my stock clock speed fascinate. ( I am running voodoo though )

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and android just got my fascinate upgraded from blackberry bold. I have to say wow what a difference. All my friends kept telling me bb was running behind but didn't believe them, well i do now.

Android all the way and no looking back.
