Hey Everyone, just new to the Droid world and Samsung. Bought my Fascinate on Saturday and just toying with it now. I will be doing much reading and research on rooting it. This is so much way better than my Storm2 POS

Hey guys! Im on these forums all the time and I just realized Ive never actually posted anything, probably because I started out the noobest noob ever. Thanks to this site I know my phone inside and out and I even root/flash my friends phones for them. I doubt I would have ever gotten this into android stuff if my fascinate came with froyo lol. I browse xda too but this site is much more layman friendly.

New to the world of Andriod. I've was a long time user of the Blackberry (Storm and Storm2 for Verizon).
I got the fascinate on blackfriday, got it free once I upgraded my contract. I bought the phone cuz the BestBuy rep sold me on the Froyo upgrade, even though the upgrade took about 1 1/2 to get. Also my freinds and family has Adriod phones they keep telling me how much better they are, so I decited to get one as well.
In all honesty I'm not all that impressed, the batter life of the Fascinate is not very good and got worse with the Froyo upgrade, know I've turn in to those crazy people carrying there wall charger everywhere and having the need to next to an out let. I Do not, but hate the fact that you cant remove any unwated pre-installed apps (on my blackberry you was ble to do that). Costimazation on the phone is not user friendly for the average Joe. Other then that is a cool phone.
I am not ok when it comes to understanding Rooting and Jailbreaking terms but I should not have to root my phone to have a phone that works as it says it should.

hey gang, ive been a fan of the podcast for almost a year now but have just decided to join the forums. thought id say hello and say thanks for all the wealth of info here and a future thanks for all your help. hopefully ill be bale to provide the same one day.

Hey fellow fascinate owners, had my fascinate for a few months now and joined the forum to learn to root and flash debloated froyo (never done either before and was a little nervous about it at first). Of course a week and a half after I root because I was tired of waiting for the ota update, out comes the ota update. So I flashed back to stock and updated to froyo ota. Couldn't have done any of that without all the great info found here. Thanks!
