New unlimited plan still throttles after 4.5 gigs

So? Unless you get told you're throttled, I don't buy it. At worst it's a tower problem or network issue.

Have you been throttled or you just acting like you know all? They do tell you if you are on the Tmobile limited plan lol. We obviously have first hand experience with it.. And you say we don't. Att told me they would throttle me but after that first time they would never tell me again (as they said that's what they do.. 1 months warning then no more) but every time I went over 3GB with unlimited my speeds went to utter crap. Sorry that's throttle. I assume Tmobile is the same... They say 5 GB of speed... Then throttle if on that plan... If the person goes to their usage and sees it is over the throttle limit (that they state is the limit for throttle) and they have crap speeds... Well.. The answer is obvious.

I think that explains much.

Explains much of what? If you aren't on their unlimited plan and on the 5GB of full speed you are throttled after the 5 GB are you not? Lol

Since I am sure you didn't read the whole thread and only read my one post.. Here is what we have been talking about...

The un(not)limited was mentioned and it sparked this.

I have un(not)limted data plan. Tmo throttled me at 5gb. After that it took 45 minutes to load a one minute youtube video.

How do you know you were throttled and not just having a bad connection?

my guess is, people either get a notification, or they stream content in the same locations where they usually get HSPA or 4GLTE speeds and will notice Edge speeds instead.

This. When I was with ATT and got throttled trust me.. You could tell.

You said you assumed T-Mobile is the same. My point was that you are making an assumption, not basing your response on personal knowledge. I am not saying that you are wrong, just that you do not personally know. Since T-Mobile has made such radical changes recently that do not follow the industry I would not base my response at this point on what another carrier is doing. :)

Okay bad words on my part for saying assume. I know Tmobile does the same. Better? They completely admit they throttle if you are on the un(not)limited plan is my point which that person said he was.

As for the truly unlimited plan from Tmobile they do not throttle. This I know because a friend has Tmobile and he streams a ton (usually 10GB) a month and he never has issues with his data.

Wtf is the in(not)limited plan? You made that word up, and I think we're talking about different things. I assumed you were being sarcastic and talking about the unlimited plan, but maybe not?

He made the word up. Tmobile has a unlimited plan.. Fully unlimited... THEN they have a un(not)limited plan... aka you have unlimited data but after 5GB you are THROTTLED.

Man.. If you don't know the plans why respond to people and tell them they are lieing about being throttled when you can see (above) "itsallbs" said he is on the throttled plan and it sucks once you hit the limit.
