I'm sure she did. Which is why you can never believe what Verizon reps say ---- BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW SQUAT. Face it, they are at the bottom of the totem pole. They are on a need-to-know basis. Verizon is not going to give out sensitive company info to a bunch of low-end blabber mouths.
Sadly true. I can't tell you how often I am head-slapping moronic reps that tell customers nonsense like what the rep told the OP here.
Here is the only fact from what Tech Support knows: There was a memo that stated a fix was coming in the second half of June. No date. No other details. Most of you know this since the memo was leaked a while ago and was posted on AC's news.
I have never seen an Android OTA update that was designed to wipe the device. I have seen it do it because of individual OTA screw ups. Its safe to back up anyway just in case.
Furthermore, even the supposed "leaked" document for the next OTA update said it was Sense 2.1, not Sense 3.0. That just kills our cred when reps can't even match up rumors properly...
I can tell you honestly that you all know about as much as 80% of Tech reps do when it comes to the up and coming events.. Usually as soon as a memo is released to Tech reps, its leaked to one of the many Android outlets. I *totally* know that's coincidence... *sarcasm*
The last point is why standard Tech reps are the last to know anything. They love to talk too much while knowing too little.
I'll be perfectly honest. I know what went into the radio firmware patch to help with the rebooting issues. I have already discussed this with everyone previously. I do not know, however, any other details of the software updates. Its well above my pay grade, which is well above a standard Tech rep's.
If Verizon Clause is listening to one of his elves, I would like the full Skype Video, gTalk Video, and an official My VZW app release! Lmao!
