New updates, not ICS

Battery life does seem a bit better for me now. Not sure if its because of a clean install of the operating system or the new software but i'll take it.

Because the clean install for sure.

Really don't know or care about the update nor do I care about ICS.

What I want is Sense 4, it looks very nice from what I've seen.....

Meanwhile I'll just stay with my rooted phone and it's de-sensed ROM, Thunderstick BareBack which does what I want and no more!

As always, YMMV!

When ICS hits the devs and sense 4 ROMS are available I'll give 'em a shot!

Just a follow up since flashing this last Friday night; no issues to report and overall it's about the same as the previous 2.11.605.9 build.

Battery life is pretty much the same, but the radios do appear to be a bit more stable. LTE locks on pretty quick on boot up and stays locked unless going into a very weak signal area for a bit (typically only happens to me at work in certain areas inside the building). When that does happen, it switches to 3G and once back in a better signal area, back to LTE pretty quick without requiring any action on my part. In comparison, in the past I sometimes would have to toggle mobile data off/on or even airplane mode, so an improvement there.

I can speculate as to why, I've learned that there exists a substantial difference in Thunderbolts, I have no idea why unless it's different build levels? Maybe HTC would know?

But I do know for sure that what works on one may not work on another.

I wonder if others such a Samsung, Motorola, etc. have similar problems?

Myself, I've never experienced the issue. Dialer will occassionally show up under battery use, but has never caused any noticeable battery drain. Not sure why some are affected and others not.
Same for me. But I don't go by the numbers in the "Battery Use" report. I just go by actual performance of the phone. I don't notice any difference.

Unfortunately for me, I can notice a big difference. Sometimes worse than others. If I restart my phone and charge it full, on the rezound battery I can easily get 2 days out of it. No chance of that happening when the dialer bug kicks in. It pretty much happens anytime I use the phone on my phone. If I want to be sure it goes away, I have to restart my phone.

Yeah, I've noticed you saying that before. In my case, even when I restart my phone, the Dialer entry remains, with the same percentage of use. Isn't that strange? That mine survives a restart but yours doesn't? Very weird to me.

Very strange indeed. Still not going to complain about the phone overall though. It's not a HUGE deal and it's the only problem I've ever had with the phone. Was just hoping they addressed it in this "update".

So basically, I won't see any real difference on my phone after this new release hits next week. Is that correct?

I hope the bug is fixed where you had to tap a missed call notification twice before it was removed from your notification list.
