New version of the HTC Sense user interface

I would add that I currently have a HTC Inspire 4G and the service is down more than it's up, so keep that in mind.

Also understand I really like the site and the added features it brings, I'm not trying to convince others that it's not worth having because clearly I would prefer to have it than not.

well the site is still tech in beta......the main things are the phone features, i love the drop down notification bar with recently used apps an running apps. an lets not forget about the different skins besides the great but gettin old sens launcher. an htc will be adding more skins an other things threw the htc hub.

verizon def doesnt want htc running things thru there network, an doesnt verizon charge for remote wipe an other stuff....verizon loves money. hates when people undercut them lol

I think people have gotten off track here and maybe slightly confused the OP. The TB will come with the latest version of HTC Sense installed on the phone, the htcsense that others have mentioned is a website that htc runs that provides some different services for htc phones.

You are correct, back on topic.

but yea sense 2 is on the bolt. tons of great new feature that are not available on other htc phones.

htcsense.com is another feature of sense2 that has yet to be added.

OMG I'm completely confused. I don't know the difference at all, my son has the EVO will I have the same features that he has when it comes to HTC Sense?

You will have an upgraded HTC Sense experience and will have additional features (such as pulling down the alert bar to switch applications).

you will not have the same as him, he is running the original sense. you will have the new improved sense. the video of the desire hd i posted earlier will be some of the feature you will have not him. you will have an improved contacts, notification bar an much more. you will be able to change sense skins with multiple pre loaded launchers at the bottom were his will stay the same greyish curved launcher, unless he has loaded another launcher.

forget the sense.com site. it wont be workin at launch most likely. just watch that video it will give you an idea. either way.....tomorow you can show it off.

Yes, and more. HTC Sense is the UI (user interface -- menus, widgets, clock, leap, etc.). The ThunderBolt has a newer version of the Sense UI than the Evo has (which means more features/options).

HTCSense.com is a site that the latest version of Sense (the version on the ThunderBolt) connects to for additional content and features. There are only a few handsets that it works with, and HTC confirmed yesterday that the ThunderBolt will not work initially (or ever -- we don't know).

Hope this (and the 2 posts above me) clarifies things.

Thank you all so much I was in panic mode lol. I think he showed me something on his Evo where he would place the phone down and it would stop ringing or something like that. Im going to rub it in tomorrow lol.

Starting on page 42 of the ThunderBolt user manual, you'll find many of the new Sense 2.0 features that are being talked about, such as app switching, etc... SEE HERE.

There are alot of places that talk about the TB connecting to htcsense.com. Amazon for one.

There are I don't deny it, but that doesn't mean it's a feature that will make it on the device. Verizon hasn't once mentioned it, for instance. I know Ben^5 has, but not sure about bmx.

Panda told me it wasn't being tested by VZW (in January).

at this time that functionaliy is not working. Maybe just because its a pre-release device but we aren't testing it so doubt it

lovy just make sure when u rub in your son's face he is not running one of the custom Z roms first, they do have a newer sense ui since I tried Z rom on my Evo.
