newb app update question

I just switch to a Android from Apple and I was wondering if you caoiuld helkp me understand how to update purchased applications. With the Apple the App Store automatically detects available updates for you and you just select update. Is there a similar feature for the Thunderbolt?

in the market , press the menu button, then select "my apps" if there are any apps that need updating it will say update next to the app

Once looking at your installed applications in the app store you can click on the "update automatically check box" and it should keep download and update automatically or at least notify you of an update.
