Newb Rooter Needs Help Flashing ROMs

Hello Android Central, I recently rooted my Sprint Galaxy Note 4 successfully. I've been looking online on how to flash ROMs but I can't find reliable information... there seems to be many different ways to do it. I just want to know the simplest way to do it.. I tried downloading cyanogen mod for 5.0.3 as a zip, but when I use flasher app, it cannot find the file I downloaded. If someone could please guide me how to easily flash ROMs to my phone I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

Do you have a custom recovery installed? Usually, ROMs require being flashed that way.

Have you done any looking over at the XDA forums? A lot of custom work is discussed over there.
