My wife has a Nook Color and is an avid book reader I think she has about 20 books on her Nook at a time.

With the 8GB Nexus 7 which I think I read is actually around 6GB how many books and maybe a few Apps would it hold since it doesn't have a memory card?

Could you always off load books to your computer via either a cable or Bluetooth?

In general do Nook and Kindle Apps works pretty well on Android tablets I guess I'm asking is it similar to reading on a Nook or Kindle?

Do you think it's likely the $25 gift certificate goes away the date it's released Thanks!

Well according to what I read about file size, you should be able to fit around 1,500 non-illustrated books on there. (Based on Kindle 8GB info)... Now I am sure you will want to install apps too, but I dont think that 20 books, (or even 200) will be a problem. :)

You'll be fine with the 8gb. If you needed extra space, you could always use something like Dropbox to store files on the internet, or there's always the good'ole fashioned usb cable to transfer files. I was gonna get the 8gb, but realized i'd probably be too lazy to do such things

USB Host Mode doesn't operate fully on the Nexus 7 without a root. That is, you can't mount the internal storage to your PC if you keep your Nexus vanilla.

Thanks that's what I needed to know!

ThePShot mentioned you couldn't transfer via USB but surely Bluetooth would work.

The question I was asking about the $25 gift certificate was once the Nexus 7 is released (since this is for pre-orders) do you think Google will discontinue this offer?
