Next App SD Fix

Wondering if anyone here has personal experience with the above mentioned app. I use my tab as a computer and do a lot of docs using Office Suite Pro 8. I can author a doc and save it to the SD card but it then becomes READ only. I'm rooted. I contacted Mobisystems and they blamed it on KitKat not allowing access to SD and told me to contact them. Does anyone know if SD FIX app will allow me to access those docs and edit them without having to save them to the main drive for editing and move them back to the SD card after??? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Downloaded the SD Fix app, followed directions to install, rebooted and it works beautifully. A must have if you've got KitKat and an SD Card!

Wish I could say the same. Downloaded and ran the SD Fix app - app said the fix was successful, but still can't write to the extsd card. Can not figure out what else needs to be done to have it completed properly!

Edit: Figured out my problem anyway... Needed to swap out the microSD card for a tested/known good one that had been reformatted to ntsf format. Remounted the microSD card and the 'fix' now works like a charm!! Hope this helps someone else too...

I would love to fix this issue but am hesitant to root (looks like root is a requirement for the app to work). Lollipop is supposed to fix the issue so I'm waiting for the update to come. If it doesn't come sometime soon I may have to give this a try.
