Hi
i d like some tips on how to update from android 4.3 to 4.4 on my nexus 10
i ve read many similar procedures but there s always some light difference
and i dn't like to follow the wrong one

I ve bought my N10 with android 4.3 installed
after i followed a procedure to root and unlock but i didn't not save that instructions
i know that i used common steps with sdk adb usb packs and google drivers
more i ve installed superSU

now i ve updated sdk adb google drivers
device is recognized after comand adb devices and adb is working fine
opening now superSU is asking me to update binaries but requires TWRP !!??

what should be next steps ? i dn't like to repeat procedure to root and unlock...and i m not familiar with developers terms
what packs should i use ? proper one or updates from 4.3 ?
install TWRP means flash the download pack in recovery mode ?? or an image ?is it possible to install it form playstore ??
thks to everyone

TWRP is "Team Win Recovery Project" and is a custom recovery that can be installed on rooted/bootloader-unlocked devices to provide greater functionality within the recovery mode partition. The other common custom recovery is CWM or "ClockworkMod Recovery"

Please take no offense to this, but the line I've highlighted above says to me that maybe you should have never rooted your device in the first place. Frankly, I don't think you need to be an expert developer to root and take advantage of it's benefits, but at the very least you should be willing to take the time to learn processes and understand that rooting isn't usually a "once and done" process, as any updates that need to be applied will require a little more manual intervention.

Based on the info you provided above, it doesn't sound like you've made too many modifications to the device at this time, and could probably install the OTA update just fine, though you would lose root in the process. If you wanted to keep root, you'll have to either repeat the rooting procedure, or use one of the available tools to keep root when installing updates (I'm not actually familiar with this method, perhaps other can help?).

Hi
from what i ve found on internet if you install the OTA you have to repeat root process
i did it first time to allow whatsapp installations it wasn t that difficult but there are different procedures
so it confuses me and i dn like to get stuck as i need it every day
anyway i ll try to manually update it installing before this TWRP in recovery mode ..??
still have doubts on wich package have to use..
if anyone can help me..

actually i tried to update superSU but i couldn't binary missing ?? and now .. flash an image ??
i don t see any sdcard and when i get to install zip from sdcard i don t see my super zip package
and after comand adb devices label is unauthorized
it means it is not rooted anymore ?

once in debug mode
windows mark driver MTP missing ??
SOLVED problem with device unauthorized and MTP but once in recovery mode my pc not recognize anymore N10 ask me again drivers ??
SOLVED modifing androidusb.inf
still don t see sdcard folder where supposed to move package ?
once in recovery inside zip from sdcard i see only the update package automatically downloaded from system..
i think i stuck here no solutions on internet
why for a simple update do all this mess ??

i guess my N10 is not rooted anymore..
LAST update even if i don t get replies
i pushed zip with adb push
update SU but still ask for binary
tried adb sideload update pack ut fail...
??
FINALLY
Followed procedure http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379616 and it works fine and easy.
