Nexus 10 or Xperia Z?

Hi everyone, I recently preordered the Xperia Z tablet, but since then Sony has pushed it back twice. I was informed today its new ship date is June 11th. I really want a top of the line tablet with a great screen and noticed the nexus 10. The only two negatives that worry me are lack of microSD slot as I'm a media hoarder and dual core processor vs a quad core in the Xperia.

I currently have an s4 as my phone of choice and the screen is just gorgeous. Since the tablet would be my main source of movie viewing, screen quality is important to me, as well as audio. I also tend to multitask heavily and want to be sure a dual core could handle the load. Just looking for some advice since Sony is already leaving a sour taste in my mouth. They haven't charged me yet so I don't mind cancelling if the nexus fits my needs.

As for the dual core, it's insanely fast, faster than a lot of quad cores, you won't even realize it's dual core. I assume you mean lack of SD card? Get the 32 GB version and use cloud storage more.

Yeah, meant SD. Thanks for pointing that out. My issue with cloud storage is when I'm not home (vacation for example, I mainly cruise and the internet charges are ridiculous) I'd like to have direct access to media. I use my phone for music, so the tablet would just be apps, pictures, and movies. I am however leaning toward the nexus for a vanilla experience, as well as the ability to deal directly with Google vs. Sony. Thank you for your feedback! Any is appreciated.

32 GB is more than enough for anything. I have the 32 GB Nexus 7, and I'm nowhere near full on storage.

You can use an SD card with an 4" OTG cable and an App, it's just not "native" (but very easy to do).

If Movies were the primary source of storage requirements, put the movies you want to watch on the trip on a SD card and use the cable for the 2 hours at a time while you watch possibly?

For quality/speed, I love my Nexus 10. I don't hoard multimedia, but I haven't dented my 32GB yet. I thought that was going to be my biggest problem as well, but it's my 3 year old you wants to use it all the time that bothers me now ;)

I use the OTG cable with my Nexus and flash drives. Gives me unlimited storage. Perfect for movies on the go.
