nexus 10

Only thing stopping me is the price, that will determine whether I get that over the 32gb nexus 7

Besides size which is the better of the two? 7 or 10.

Quad core make the 7 the better of the two?

I can't wait until Monday to find out how much the nexus 10 is gonna cost. If its in the $350 range I am gonna buy 2 as Christmas gifts.

Nexus 10? Pfft. How ridiculous.

I HAD a big tablet (iPad) and never knew what to do with the damned thing. It wouldn't yoke mount in the plane without blocking essential instruments. You couldn't set it down anywhere, but it was too big to fit in a pocket -- so one hand (or armpit) was always full of tablet.

It was too big to use as a car GPS -- where would you put it? I tried, and it always ended up in a lap.

The ONLY place it excelled was as a media viewer. If you're looking at pix, that bigger screen is nice -- but not nice enough to offset all the downsides.

Look around the coffee shops in a college town. When the kids go to pick up their orders, they don't dare leave their iPads at the table -- they're too expensive to risk -- yet they can't use both hands to carry a tray AND the iPad. Thus, all sorts of goofy storage "solutions" have been born, from special purses to dedicated iPad pouches.

No thanks, I'm not going back to that. The 7" tablet fits perfectly in my cargo shorts pocket, so my hands are always free. It rests securely atop the ashtray in my car, making the perfect GPS -- and it fits perfectly between the handles of the yoke in the airplane.

The 7" form factor is the best way to go.

It should be a solid device.. just like the 7 is. And both will be running stock, vanilla, AOSP. What's "better" comes down to preference in screen size.. really not much else :)

This new chip does in fact look to be another opportunity for Android to leap ahead in the tablet market. They have chosen to offer the highest specs for the lowest price which should allow their devices to have a longer shelf life for os updates and newer graphically intensive apps.

Yay a dual-core! NOT! WTH google?

Probably because Samsung had it their pipeline & Google came along to "marry" them. Google is not a developer but takes opportunities to sort of brand their products with others doing the majority of the hardware development.

wasn't the N7 originally the "ASUS MeMo me370t? I'm guessing Samsung just made small design tweaks to something they were going to release anyway. Though, wouldn't releasing an N10 kind of cannibalize profits for their own 10" tablets, like the galaxy tab 2? it's cheap but if the N10 is the same price with better specs..?
