Nexus 4 doesn't connect to computer as media device!

This is the info I was needing. Where to find the MTP settings.

Settings > Storage > 3 dots at right top where 'USB computer connection' box will appear, click on it

Check MTP option

Hi. I fund same problem with my nexus4 and nexus5, just enable USB share in settings.
Settings>Wireless&Networks>More>Tethering&portable hotspots>USB tethering ON
Some reason its need to do every time, when I want to connect with my pc.
Maybe some update was wrong with android 5 or 6, or windows10.
