Nexus 4 will be available today at Noon PST

how could they offer more phones when people r still backordered?

It should be a typical queue system.

Those who are backordered will get the first units, followed by any new orders in the order in which they are received until the stock is depleted.

Which will be in a matter of minutes again. They didn't learn anything from this last fiasco.

Simple. They know how many orders they previously received, and they know how many phones they are getting in the current and near-term future shipments. So, if the number of phones they are receiving is more than the number of existing orders, they can open up to more orders. It's not complicated.

Keep in mind that they're not saying they are going to sell phones to people before fulfilling existing orders. They're simply saying that new orders can now be placed.

Well this should be interesting. I'll be at work and will only be able to attempt an order from my phone. If that fails I'm hoping there will be enough stock that I can order from my computer when I get home tonight.

Really hoping there isn't a big cluster f*** again. My fear this time is that some online scalper (like "Daily Steals") will scoop them up in large quantities and screw the rest of us.

That's what I'm afraid of. If I can't get one this go around, it's not meant to be. I'll just buy a verizon phone Off contact and keep my unlimited data.

I like how it was mostly people from the US complaining about the lack of LTE on this phone....but they are the ones who are getting more ;)

So this was my morning today.

Wake up halfway, look at my sh*tty windows mobile phone and I have 9 new emails for the 27th. I see an email "Google Play: Nexus 4 Available for purchase today!" I fly out of bed, run to my computer and turn it on, grab my tablet and go to https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...nes?playredirect=true&hl=en-US&token=Fuc61Tg4 and see it says SOLD OUT and I start freaking out ( a little bit :-p) and my day was ruined, until I saw this thread :)
This is what happens when you download email headers only on your email client.

Hint....

I got my nexus 4 in the original launch by going to play.google.com ON MY NEXUS 7. I think that it detected that I was coming from a moble device and handed me off to a different server used only for mobile, which wasn't getting hammered as hard.

I'm glad you mentioned that b.c I ordered mine on the 13th using my iphone and did not experience one issue. Order went through on the first try.

Crossing my fingers for bumpers. Going to try to buy a 16GB and a bumper, separate orders.

Ok, this won't be easy but I'm attempting to grab an 8GB for Mom and make her sell the S3. Figure the pentaband would be worth it and since this is almost the same price as used GN, this is the way to go. Script running to alert me, and chances of me getting are probably semi slim and even if I do get one it may take forever to ship. Hopefully not the case this time.

Does this mean there will be 5000 new whining threads at 12:13 PST? Maybe I should start one to beat the rush

So the US was warned about the fiasco of launch in advance seeing how things went in other countries and now gets a SECOND chance and in the UK, I still can't buy one and all of the people I know still haven't received one through post. I'm not even counting the fact that our prices are always obscene compared to the equivalent American ones (I mean 430 dollars for the 16GB version from Google Play, really?). I was finally ready to switch to Android after 5 years of Apple but you know what, at least they know how to manage launches. I'm sorry for blowing steam here but this is ridiculous.

Add to cart is up. Let the games begin
