Nexus 5 6.0.1 WiFi problems

After the initial 6.0 update my WiFi started turning itself off by itself whenever I shut the screen off. I can't figure out how to change these settings. The WiFi also turns off and on again and again when I'm using YouTube or other apps. And I found out that that particular fix was in the location settings.

That being said some of my settings reset themselves back to default every couple of hours which makes my WiFi cut out.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Please before I throw my phone out a window...

Check if the WiFi is setup to be on all the time: Settings > WiFi > three dots > Advanced > Keep WiFi on during sleep (make sure it's set to "Always")

The WiFi just keeps cycling through "obtaining IP address" over and over no matter where I am or what WiFi I am using
