Tomorrow the LG G2 will be announced. I think that'll be a clear indicator of the Nexus 5 specs, and if the leaks are right, we'll see a 5.2" 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and 3GB RAM.
I just don't see Google straying too far from the form factor of the Galaxy Nexus/N4. I think they will stay with the 4.7 inch display and a relatively compact size. They are very much against large amounts of internal storage so I think we will be lucky if we even get a 32gb option. I would be satisfied with the following specs.
4.7 inch 1080p display
S-600 quad core 1.7ghz
2400 mAh battery
wireless charging
decent sounding and loud speakers!
16gb model 399
32gb model 449
what du mean by skip the 800 procceoror dou want an 800 or not sorry i got a little confused with the words u usedNo way they skip the 800 processor with the LG G2 having one, ect. I believe it will be Snapdragon 800 and maybe 3g of ram. With hopefully a big battery.
Is it all but assured the Nexus 5 will be based off of the LG G2?
Honestly I can probably see Google Play Editions replacing the nexus line. I mean developers working this say the HTC One, GS4, Moto X, and the LG G2, all stock.
But nexus is also know the for the low price the gpe's dont have that
Really hard for me to believe that any Nexus 4 successor will have any sort of Nexus 4 "esque" pricing. I think the Nexus 4 pricing was an aberration.
If Nexus 5 phone is coming but LG and Google are not making the Nexus 5 then this would be the biggest opportunity missed to give Nexus fans a flagship Nexus. I know they are about making "halo" devices but damn this LG G2 is ridiculous. If they don't use LG G2 as the base device to make the next nexus phone then no other phone will top G2 except for the Note 3, One Phablet, and Xperia i1 honami.
Though sort doubt they will make a Nexus Phablet unless next android os has features used for productivity, art, and media specific to phablets. This would be nice since phablets are only category phones the Nexus hasn't touched and if Nexus 5 was based on phablet then Nexus 5 could pushed that particular market like the original Nexus 7 did for tablets.

I'm also confused about the size. The G2 has fairly small bezels and still manages to be slightly larger than the S4. Maybe Google will, instead, opt for a 5" screen, .2" of which will be occupied by the on screen buttons. That would be the ideal size for me, anyway, and it would also keep the phone a decent size while not straying away from the smartphone screen sizes that have been popular this year.
but then they would lose a whole other market including me if the go over 5.2 inches and is almost certain its going to e based on the lg g2 but aalso google doesnt like to addbloatware the add features but not ones like quick memo thats why its nexus stock andorid
Google features made for art, productivity and media built into android is stock android. I don't quite understand what you are saying by "added features" like "quick memo" is not stock android?
