I'm constantly having to toggle airplane mode or cellular data on and off or reboot the phone to get the Internet to work. I've put the APN settings in a hundred different ways. The Internet works fine when I do the above, the radio seems like it has trouble holding on to lte where that my old old phone didn't. The signal is like fragged out mainly when the phone is idle. So frustrated, plz help.

what carrier you with?

Wyteryno,

Unfortunately I can't help, but I will second all of the issues you are having. I'm on Sprint and I can't hold LTE through the day at my desk. In the past, I've maintained that signal all day. Sometimes it'll get stuck on 3G, sometimes with an ! next to the signal. A cycle on/off of airplane mode (as you mentioned) sometimes does the trick. If that doesn't work I'm forced to restart. I'm not sure if its the phone at this point or the signal. I'm inclined to believe the phone since it got worse after the most recent update (5.1.1)

**** carrier. switch to AT&T GoPhone or Straight Talk with AT&T SIM Card.

I have straight talk at&t sim and my old phone held lte just fine it just fine. Please somebody investigate and help

did you put the APN settings in EXACTLY per what the Straight Talk site says per your phone/OS etc.? beware of following APN settings listed on forum sites.

I'm actually switching over to ATT in the course of the next month. Honestly though, its not the carrier. The phone's behavior got significantly worse on 5.1.1 in this regard. My phone sits in the same spot, on the same mousepad at the same desk every day. For a few months (since the upgraded towers were finished in the area) I would consistently get LTE at my desk. If I get up to use he bathroom it would bounce to 3G but always came back to LTE within a minute or so of getting back to my desk. Now it either takes 5-10 minutes or doesn't come back at all (maybe 50/50). An airplane mode cycle usually connects it back to LTE pretty quickly, but that's annoying. I've also missed calls because the 3G signal is weak.

i disagree. i blame Sprint. i have a Nexus 5 on AT&T GoPhone and it's a night and day difference vs. Sprint. AT&T LTE is ubiquitous. Sprint's 3G and 4G LTE coverage is deplorable.
