Nexus 5 is better than the iPhone.

thanks... I have already downloaded it. Very useful. Also found apps for syncing media volume with ringer volume. Why is this not baked into android? I cant imagine a scenario where you want the ringer to be silent but not the apps.

What app did you find for volume?

XT1060. Through spacetime.

Though, IME, the iPhone's camera has been the best you make a good point about objectivity.
"Best" depends on your criteria. It definitely is not the best for Macro that I have seen. I think even the Nexus 4 beats it there.

If anyone has samples of iPhone 5s macro pictures I'd be happy to look at them though.

That may be true indeed. Perhaps taking macro shots with a phone's camera is more popular than I would have thought. I actually have a dedicated olde prosumer Sony Alpha 350 with a macro lens for those times when I want such a shot but I know that's not the norm.

I just read about the suicides in the factories in China which make the iPhone. Whoa. I hope the factories for the Nexus 5 are better. Should be, if they're in Korea.

I have a DSLR...I almost never use it. Because it is expensive and fragile and I am afraid I will break it. My phone is with me 24/7 though.

Every company uses foxconn. Why is Apple blamed for this?

Same reason people blame Wal-mart for issues at white label factories they have in common with numerous other companies as well. Foregone conclusion is that Walmart and Apple are bad, (mkay), evidence: bad stuff happened at places they do business with, ergo Walmart and Apple are obviously bad.

But Samsung HTC are gods right? Sorry. Just trying to comprehend the fallacy in that side of the argument ;)

How doesn't it count? Its a smartphone also. And I disagree about iphone has the best camera. Honestly nokia does have the best cameras in there phones besides samsung.

The 1020 has a sensor the size of what most point and shoot cameras have. It is a camera first that happens to also be a smartphone.

The iPhone still leads for most consumers because Apple has paid for all of the image processing technology that others haven't. The closest camera I've seen has actually been the G2's. Very good and consistent results. The next closest is the lumia 925. The S4 would come after that. (Gets way more noise than any of the others when light goes below ideal)

I have to disagree. The G2 takes average shots IMO. In less than decent lighting it takes forever to get into focus, and when the lighting is good it tends to overdo the white balance and overexposes the shots. It CAN be a good camera but it's very inconsistent

Not necessarily. It depends on what product the person speaking owns.

Nah, I don't think LG are so above the others. I'm just hoping that because of geographical locations they have their factories in South Korea where the workers have more and better rights.

That's my hope.

The government in China still treats the Chinese people very brutally, apparently.

I'm not sure if lg does. I found this

Which indicates they have at least one factory in South Korea making smart phones but they don't say where the other four factories are. And yes, I'm sorry, but I feel better if I know what I buy isn't manufactured by people so miserable and oppressed the workplace has a suicide problem.

It seems to be the best camera for quick shots. But it does lag in some areas.

I'm out of luck probably. I found this

And an article about a factory fire that so far I can't get to load.
