Yeah its been mentioned in some review videos. I would recommend getting a case to alleviate that issue.

Do you guys not feel the sharp corners? I am not sure if it is my phone or I am being overly sensitive. But it really gets uncomfortable after using the phone for a long period of time.

My phone's side plastic seems to be a little above the screen.

Then you may want to try putting it in a case to change the edges. This case I have doesn't add much size to the N5 except to the edges of the phone where you hold it and it is flat not sharp.

I saw this with the AT&T LG G2 when I was shopping. I got the VZW G2 and it is a non-issue.
So maybe LG is having QC issues.

Actually, I hold the phone with one hand while laying on my bed and the bottom corner of the phone digs into my palm.

I cant believe that I am the only one experiencing this.

I have a black and a white N5...both feel superb in the hand (rough edge swiping from edge was the "screen protector").

OP, this is gonna be a really stupid question. Did you remember to peel the plastic off of the sides of the phone?

I kept the plastic on the sides of my phone until I get a case and I noticed when I hold it, it does feel kinda sharp in the corners.

Yea. This is driving me crazy.

You're aren't the only one. I have this problem when holding it in my left hand. It's sharp and bothersome. I'm going to get a case for it.

I must be holding my phone wrong... I mean I can tell there's an edge to the corners, but it doesn't "dig into" my palm and isn't uncomfortable to hold by any stretch...

I really like the 5, but the squared off shape does result in some sharp surfaces, probably a little to much form over function. The 4 is definitely more comfortable to grasp. Doesn't mean that I don't love the 5, just being objective.

Bottom corner a bit on the sharp side for me too. Just had to learn to hold the phone a different way.
