Nexus 5 Lollipop Update Required Factory Reset To Work

Hi...so I updated my Nexus 5 phone to Lollipop last week. On Straight Talk Network for any one who cares. Any way, had immediate issue with incoming phone calls and text messages. Incoming calls were NOT showing up on phone screen nor were SMS messages. The phone would vibrate when a call was incoming, but I could not access phone in time to answer. Phone calls and texts did show up in log.

Anyway....read forum post about Nexus 7 tablet having to do factory reset. Yesterday, I did a factory reset on Nexus 5 phone (after backing up all data) and PRESTO...phone works fine again. Incoming calls and SMS showing up on screen as usual. Hope this help

With major updates, a reset is suggested. This allows the framework to be rebuilt.
