Nexus 5 Screen when Scrolling

Got my new Nexus 5 two days ago and have noticed when you are scrolling up or down or to either side on say a menu page (eg settings) and you come to the end of the page and try to pull further down there is sort of like a strange white effect on the screen. I presume this is just normal and is the OS's way of telling you you can't scroll any further, but I just wanted to check if it does it on anyone elses phone?
