Hey, updated my 5 to lollipop and haven't been able to send downloaded pics through messenger or hangouts. I can send pictures that I have taken with my camera but if I download one from a website and then send it, the person receiving it just gets an error message. Any thoughts? Anybody else experiencing this? I don't backup the download folder in the cloud and I have tried everyway possible that I know of to attach the photo in the message.

When you download the image from the website, does it show up in your Download folder as an actual .jpg or .png file? Are you sure that you're not just copying the URL or link?

I was actually downloading the picture to my device then attaching it in the message, long press - save image. I have found that .png files are working but not .jpg or others. Ive never ran into this before, never had a problem downloading a picture and attaching it so thought it was weird or maybe just dumb luck I was always getting the right file type.
