Nexus 5 signal keeps going down

My phone has LTE but most of the time its at an H or 3g sometimes it goes to 3G, am I doing something wrong? Only place I can get LTE is places like outdoors or a big field

Welcome to Android Central! Which wireless provider do you use? Do you know how the signal is generally in your area? If you have T-Mobile, they're a bit notorious for having poor reception inside larger buildings.
