Hello, I was wondering would be a good phone for price. S6 for 449 or the 32 gb 5x for 399. Which would be worth it in the long run? Thanks

Since posted in the 5x forum, I am sure that you would get responses leaning towards the 5x. Both are good devices, I have had the s6 myself but not the 5x. The 5x would most likely be updated longer.

I had a Galaxy S3 and while it was nice for a while I grew tired of touch wiz. Since going to the Moto X 2013 which was just about stock android and now the Nexus 5X I don't want anything else. The S6 is probably more premium. It has a metal frame and other specs that might appeal to some. What do you look for in a phone? What do you use it for?

I will say this although I think the nexus line is the best you can get you will be disappointed in the display on the 5x. My wife switched from an s6 to the 5x and lasted a day. She said the display wasn't sharp and vivid like on her s6. I could tell as well however she liked the no skin bare bones Android experience so our search is still on to find her a close to stick Android experience with a great display and great camera. (6p being too big)

LOL sounds like an LCD TV person arguing that plasmas don't look good because they're not oversaturated along with the sharpness artificially boosted to 300%, like an LCD. To each his own though. That's why they make different stuff. :-)

I think the screen on my 5X looks fantastic. It is different than the screen on my Samsung Tab S2, which also looks good in its own way. They're different types of displays.

I came from the S6 Edge.. I think you would love the 5X more. Better battery, better and faster updates ! Camera is very decent in my opinion as well

I personally prefer the stock Android UI, so I would lean toward the 5X. However, the S6 is not a bad phone. I just wouldn't buy it.

Your correct to each their own. I was stating my opinions on the 5x. Screen etc. Amoled are better displays in my opinion. Guess I don't know what you were looking for there man..

I think both offer different benefits. If you want the premium look and feel, then consider the S6. If you don't mind the non-premium look and feel, but want a device which will be updated for some time to come, then consider the Nexus 5x.
