nexus 6 back cover unstuck

Do yourself a favor, if you are interested in the n6 go get it and try it out for yourself. Don't let a few stories of bad experiences dissuade you.

Even if you read thirty different posts with the same issue there are still thousands more without an issue.

I'm enjoying mine with no problems. The build is very premium in hand. It feels tight, dense, and sleek.

My nexus 6 has a minimal separation from the side of the volume button and lost some parts of the x,I just hope is not the battery, because I bought a back cover from eBay,

My problem is that the separation in my phone is just minimal,I don't know if going through the hassle of an exchange is worthy, everything else in my phone works perfect

Just keep an eye on it, during the first year, and make sure it doesn't get any worse.

If there is any issue with the build quality, no matter how big or small, I would send it back. Its an expensive device and it will only get worse not better.

Have same issue called motorola support NO REPLACEMENT. They told me to ship the phone to them (2-3 business days) then there is a 5-10 b-day turnaround on their end and they'll ship back (2-3 business days). So what am i now, the designated phoneless? (for 16 business days anyway...)

And there is the big problem. Who is going to go that long without a phone? I couldn't go a day without a phone.

Exactly. Had that same problem, eventually got moved up to Level 1 customer service (whatever that means). This was on Friday so calling them back today. Will report back here what happens.

You bring up a good point. At the time I wrote my original response, part of my thinking was based on the fact that Moto has yet to announce an official cause and or resolution for this issue.

Luckily, I have yet to see it with either of mine.

However, considering that I have 2, one 32 GB and one 64 GB, along with 2 Moto X 13 Developer Editions, I could survive without one for 3-4 weeks, as long as Moto was able to definitely resolve the issue so it didn't happen again.

I want them to announce if it is an adhesive issue, battery issue, or something else.

I must say Google's been pretty good with the replacing. I complained one morning, had a phone shipped to me the same day, arrived the next. Because the phone shipped with the return materials, I could bump my old phone into the new one, then reset it, and pretty much haven't gone without a phone for a day. Then when the second phone showed the defect, they did ask for a picture, but they offered the replacement straight away.

They do authorize your account for the full whack of a new phone once you order one, but that's released as soon as they get the old device back.

This is why I keep holding off on purchasing a phone and why I am starting to look at getting something other than the N6. People say the odds are that I'd get a good phone. But some people are getting ones with problems, so why should I take the chance? Especially with the lackluster support you report. I have no backup phone, either, so for people like us it's a big issue. Big enough to consider getting a lesser phone.Sorry to hear Motorola is making the situation even harder for you.

Odd, I called Saturday and they offered to either have me send my defective device in and they send the replacement, or they send the replacement first with them doing a $500 credit card hold to be released when the defective device is received by them.

Should be getting my replacement tomorrow since Monday was a holiday.

If this replacement has the same issue, I'll like aell for a full refund and get something else in a few months.

Don't know what to tell you... except that i use my phone for business (and everything else) and cannot be without it for 16 days. if they offered me a hold while they sent a replacement (google did that for me with a defective nexus 5 and it was great!) i would've jumped on it. as of right now i am stuck.

I would call Motorola back and tell them that their company is offering a replacement phone (with credit card hold), allowing you to keep your phone until the replacement is delivered. Ask them why they don't give their Canadian customers the same level of service. (And, of course, let them know that you depend on your phone for work.) Worth a try anyway. After that, if they refuse to be reasonable, I'd contact Motorola USA and ask why they don't consistently follow the same policies with their neighbors to the north. Don't just accept one person's word---keep following up until you get an acceptable resolution..

Disregard this if it's the battery causing this BUT... if the Nexus 6 had a removable back cover than this wouldn't be an issue. It would be great if Nexus devices had removable back covers and batteries. I don't understand why they don't.
