Nexus 6 Headphone Issues (when plugged in)

[AC Question]

Need some help! Audio playback, both mp3 & video, has been just fine but just recently, audio would stop and the playback would stop/start as soon as I plug in headphones.

I tested couple of headphones with the same result so it's not a headphone issue. Anyone having the same problems? I rebooted but short of doing a full reset as I don't want to erase my phone's data (don't have the time to back it all up).

Thanks in advance for any advice on the matter.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already checked the jack for any debris? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, or a damp toothpick to root around.
