Nexus 6P - Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out Starting Today

Re: Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out Starting Today

Still waiting on my update. Nothing yet

Re: Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out Starting Today

I loaded mine with adb. Ambient display seems better and easier to use.

Google Now is the only real issue I've had. No matter what I do, can't get it to stay "always on" and work when my screen is off.

I think you hit need to clear cache and data inside the Google app and then do a reset. If that falls then a factory reset may be your best option. The functionality definitely works for me, however, it doesn't work with my flip case covering the motion sensor.

Has anyone actually received an OTA yet?

Watching my Nexus 9 update right now. The 6P is still waiting.

Re: Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out Starting Today

For the most part my Nexus 6P works perfectly. I do have a couple flaws. The audio in some games when connected to my BT head phones is stuttery and garbled. But only for some games. Others work fine and Spotify works fine. I would say it's the games at fault except they work perfectly using a wired headphone or the phones speakers. And it's a lot of games, over 50%. Also, if there are a lot of apps suspended, cause I haven't rebooted in a while, then sometimes one of them seems to lock up the audio and I won't get any audio from anything, not even the phones basic beeps and pings work. The solution is to close every app. Then that releases it and sound works again.

Wait - none of you are having the miserable bluetooth issues that are discussed extensively in another thread? My phone won't maintain a connection with my car. It goes on and off in the middle of calls. I consider it a major Marshmallow bug.
From what I have read in that thread, and experienced myself, this problem mainly effects factory installed car bluetooth systems. I am REALLY hoping this update cures it.

I had the same issue when I first got my 6P. It seemed to have randomly fixed itself though. I don't know what I did but now it works like normal with my car no problem

Nothing yet here either -- I am sure it will roll out more over the next few days.

I have the same issue. Sometimes it will connect and other times not until I reboot the phone. It happens so intermittently but enough of the time to be annoying.

Quickly double-pressing the power button when the screen is locked launches the camera! (Found in the Display settings)

New for original Nexus 6, not new for 6P & 5X. My wife has it on her 5X but my old Nexus 6 doesn't. Look forward to having it too.

Has anyone gotten an update at all with a Verizon sim or other carrier sim?

Re: Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out Starting Today

I flashed this manually from the system images and my signal on T-Mobile got really bad.
