Hi There,
I am new to this forum. I recently purchased my nexus 6p and I love this thing. However, I have had an excessive amount of accumulation of dust in the camera visor area. I've never had a phone with this issue. I have a 4 year old droid bionic that has not been in its case and there is no excessive amount of dust in the camera lens. The Nexus 6p, however, has been having issues. I am using a Speck Candyshell grip case which was recommended to me by a google technician at a Nexus event in NYC I attended in December. I am videographer who constantly cleans lenses with microfiber cloths and a dust blower. I only keep the phone in its case either in my jeans or a dust-free area. I have cleaned the Nexus 6p with the blower and once with a industry recommended microfiber for camera lenses. However, I continue to have problems. I contacted google today and they recommended that I should replace the device with an RMA. I am now waiting for the replacement. While their service is phenomenal, I would like to understand the best method to clean and prevent this from happening again. I am nervous this will scratch the camera lens and effect the image quality or exposure. Does anyone have any answers? Thanks.
