I'm looking for a good used Nexus 6p to use with Verizon. There seem to be plenty of sellers who bought them to use with Google fi, but now want to get rid of them. Will these phones work on VZN, provided I get the proper nano SIM card?

In short, the Google Nexus 6p same as the Nexus 6p sold by Verizon?

Do the same differences apply to the Nexus 6?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it will. It's the exactly same phone, but I don't think Verizon sells a 6P.

An unlocked Nexus 6P should be fine with any network's SIM. You'll have to check with Verizon if you want to use Wi-Fi calling.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply! A little confused though... Verizon customers do use 6p's, don't they? You're just saying Verizon doesn't sell them?

The 6P works on Verizon, Verizon doesn't sell them direct. Verizon's WiFi calling does not work on the 6P, Advanced Calling does.

I used my Nexus 6P on Verizon before I moved to Project Fi a year ago. NO US carriers sold the 6P directly, it was sold as unlocked and 100% carrier-independent, any 6P could be used on any carrier.

I use a 6P on Verizon since Aug. I bought on Amazon to replace a LG G4, which became unusable as a phone. Went to the Verizon store to change things around on my account (actually my granddaughters acct - she gets a discount from work). They installed the Sim (no cost) & verified the 6P was working ok.
