After doing some research, I've come to the conclusion that the best mini tablet for me is the Nexus 7, so I have been waiting for the new one to come out. However, Verizon will let me get the Galaxy Note 10.1 with 4G for $500 ($100 discount). The tablet would just be added to my currently existing plan without any charge. Thus, I did some research on this tablet as well by seeing how it compares to the Nexus 10. I've once again come to the conclusion that the Nexus 10 is better. (I've come to the conclusion based on what people have written on forums.)

I will use the tablet for both entertainment and school. I will probably just listen to music, go on Youtube, watch movies, etc. I will also use the tablet to read PDF's and put my textbooks on it. I don't think I will need 4G that much since I will be using it at work or at school most of the times, but once again, there may be a time when I need it.

Anyways, I'm still tempted to buy the Galaxy Note 10.1 because of the 4G. I honestly don't need the pen though since I like to take handwritten notes. From what I've read, the only upside of the Notei s the pen.

So, what should I do? Wait for the Nexus 7.2 which costs a lot less but has no wifi or just get the galaxy note 10.1 which has 4G?

Let me remind you that the nexus will be updated regularly. I have a Xoom lte verizon and I have been waiting on a update for nearly a year. Verizon is the worst. They need to add cellular to the n10

If you are in school you should be bathed in wifi many hours a day. I only use my Xoom on 4g a little bit. That's a hard choice. Maybe your phone plan would allow you to purchase tethering for $20 a month or something reasonable because verizon will want At least 20.

We don't know if there will be a Nexus 7 2, or a Nexus 8, or what. Rumors have proven untrustworthy at best. That said, you're comparing a 7 inch and 10 inch tablet, which is a pretty big difference. I would make the decision based on which size meets your needs best.

I think it's pretty safe to say that there will definitely be a successor to the Nexus 7. It was around this time last year that rumors of the Nexus 7 started popping up.

July- August Nexus 7-2 w/ Android 4.3

It does seem more likely than not, but there's still no reliable word on features, size, release date, etc, etc. The Nexus 7 was originally released in large part to be a developer tool for a new release of Android. We have no word on when KLP will be ready, and they may be holding the N7 replacement for that time, which could be months away, and they could choose to do an 8" or other change in form factor.

I'g go get a Nook HD+.
9"/1080p screen and now has GApps for $150 or $179 for the 32GB version.
